The report says that the global average connection speed grew at 8.6% an average to 5.6 Mbps from the third quarter of 2015.
Globally, the average peak connection speed rose 1% from the third quarter, at 32.5 Mbps. In the Asia Pacific region, South Korea had the highest average connection speed at 26.7 Mbps.
Talking of average peak connection speed, Singapore topped the charts at 135.7 Mbps, while India again tanked with 21.2 Mbps.
Across the globe, India stood at 115th position in terms of average connection speed.
