Comedian and former host of "The Daily Show" Jon Stewart shared some of his thoughts on this year's whirlwind presidential election.

Speaking at the Bob Woodruff "Stand Up for Heroes" comedy benefit in New York on Tuesday, Stewart offered his prediction that only he could that the election would end in a tie where O.J. Simpson shows up in a white Ford Bronco with JonBenet Ramsey to cast the deciding vote.

"This is insane," Steward said.

The comedian said he doesn't miss being away from the absurdity of covering politics after leaving his late-night Comedy Central timeslot - likening the job to being a "turd-miner."

"I was turd-miner for 16 years. Right now a shit asteroid just hit the earth," Stewart said.

Stewart went on to poke fun at Trump's unfounded claims that the election was "rigged" and that Hillary Clinton and the media are conspiring against his campaign.

"Dude, you live in a tower with your name on it in gold. How well would you be doing if the man wasn't keeping you down?," Stewart said.

Stewart also shared a story about a Twitter spat with Trump after the GOP nominee chastised him about changing his last name from Leibowitz to Stewart when Stewart became a comedian. The apparent knock against his Jewish heritage prompted Stewart to fire back a tweet questioning why Trump had changed his original name from "F--kface Von Clownstick" to Trump.

Trump was unwittingly goaded into replying to Stewart's joke on Twitter and Stewart pointed that out as a sign he is unfit to be president.

"Vote wisely this November 8," Stewart said.
