The bank announced in September that Mark Leung and Jason Sippel would become global coheads of equities, replacing Tim Throsby, who moved to Barclays.
In a memo sent Wednesday October 2, Leung and Sippel announced a raft of promotions below them. They include:
- Fater Belbachir will be head of volatility trading globally, and relocate from New York to London. He had previously headed volatility trading and structuring for the Americas.
- Luiz de Salvo and Dennis Fitzgerald will become coheads of global cash trading, and also head the Americas region. They previously headed cash equities trading in the Americas.
- Chris Berthe and Charles Chiang will cohead global delta one, and will develop the synthetic equity business along with the prime business.
- David Robertson will take responsibility for JPMorgan's international financing business.
- Paul Brannan and Jonathan Cossey will become coheads of prime brokerage. Brannan was previously US head, and Cossey head in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
JPMorgan ranked number two on Wall Street for equities revenues in the first half, according to data from Coalition, with a number one position in equity derivatives.
"We are positioned incredibly well and yet, we still see more opportunities for us to invest and grow," Daniel Pinto, CEO of the corporate and investment bank, said in a memo announcing the appointment Leung and Sippel.
