India’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki, unveiled the five-door Jimny and Fronx SUVs at the Auto Expo 2023.

The five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny is an off-roader SUV based on the company’s AllGrips 4x4 platform.

The Jimny has a muscular design featuring a honeycomb mesh grille, circular LED headlamps, a twin-spoke alloy wheel design, and a 9-inch infotainment screen.

The Jimny is equipped with a 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine that produces 103 bhp and 134 Nm of peak torque.

The Jimny features six airbags, a hill hold assist, an anti-lock braking system with an electronic brake-force distribution system, and a rear-view camera.

The Jimny is available for pre-bookings starting today for ₹11,000.

Maruti Suzuki has also unveiled the Fronx SUV, based on the company’s popular hatchback Baleno. It is built on the Heartect platform.

The SUV’s front is inspired by the Grand Vitara and features a wide chrome strip across the grille. It comes with a muscular design and features squared-off wheel arches. It sports a 9-inch infotainment screen.

The Maruti Suzuki is available in two variants – a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine with 99 bhp and a peak torque of 147 Nm and a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 89 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm.
