The search for Pathaan peaked between Jan 22-28 as the SRK starrer released during the Republic Day weekend. The first out of two big hits by Sharukh Khan this year is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films.

Only one foreign film has made it to the list of the top-10 searched movies in India and it is the Cristopher Nolan directed Oppenheimer. One of the frontrunners for an Oscar, it boasts of a mega star cast including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downing Jr and Emily Blunt.

The return of Sunny Deol as Dara Singh saw Google search peak between Aug 13-19. The movie directed by Anil Sharma is a sequel and also stars Amisha Patel and Simrat Kaur.

It has been SRK’s year. Jawan, directed by Atlee, was the most searched movie on Google by Indians in 2023 peaking in the Sept 3-9 week. The second blockbuster by Shahrukh Khan in 2023, also stars Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra.
