Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns in the eliminator of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. While RR sits at the third position, RCB is in the fourth position after the historic win over CSK on Saturday.

The eliminator between RR and RCB is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 PM.

While the winner of the match will head on to the second qualifier, the loser will be eliminated from the IPL 2024.

The eliminator is set at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The two teams have played two games against each other at this venue, with both teams winning a match each.

RR and RCB have played 31 matches against each other in IPL history. Out of this, RR has won 13 matches and RCB has won 15 matches, with three matches ending without a result.

RR and RCB have faced each other only once in IPL 2024, with Rajasthan winning the match by six wickets after an unbeaten century by Jos Butler. RCB lost the match despite a heroic century from Virat Kohli.

RR’s key players in the IPL 2024 include Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Yuzvendra Chahal and Avesh Khan. Their star batter Jos Butler will miss the match as he has returned for national duties ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

RCB’s key players include Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj and Yash Dayal. The team will also miss the England batter Will Jacks who has also returned for national duties.

The team that loses the first qualifier between KKR and SRH will take on the winner of the eliminator in the second qualifier to compete for the second spot in the IPL 2024 final to be held at Chepauk on Sunday, May 26.
