View once

‘View once’ lets you send photos and videos that disappear after they’ve been opened by the recipient.

Missed group calls

This feature lets you jump back in group calls or join one if you’ve missed it. You can find ongoing group calls from the calls tab on WhatsApp.

Archived chats

Archived chats keep chats hidden and muted even if you receive a new message. You can choose to unarchive chats anytime you want.

Transfer chats from iOS to Android

WhatsApp will finally let you transfer chats from an iPhone to an Android device through a data cable. It will be available first to Samsung phones.

Payments backgrounds

WhatsApp Pay now offers themed background cards for payments on the app. The background cards can be used while sending money to someone on WhatsApp.

Multi-device

This feature lets you use one WhatsApp account on up to four devices without an internet connection on the primary device. It’s available for WhatsApp beta users.

Playback speeds for voice messages

You can play WhatsApp voice messages at 1.5x and 2x speeds. Tap on the 1x icon to increase the playback speed.

Voice and video calls from desktop

You can make voice and video calls from WhatsApp’s desktop app. To use this feature you need the WhatsApp desktop app for Windows or Mac.
