<p>A reading below 50 indicates contraction.</p>
<p>The flash reading added to signs that the U.S. economy was regaining momentum, and followed a stronger manufacturing report.</p>
<p>Some better than expected economic data has brought back talk of an <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/the-economic-snapback-is-here-2014-6">economic snapback</a>.</p>
