India is a beautiful place to live, but it is an even more beautiful place to explore. While it is true that every city of the country has something to offer, we list down the 4 metro cities of India and the places that you should never miss when you visit these cities.

Delhi

I asked my soul, what is Delhi? She replied: The world is the body and Delhi, its soul.
~Mirza Ghalib

Starting with the capital city, there is a lot to explore in Delhi and its surroundings. It is a perfect mix of ancient culture and modern infrastructure. The places that would make you feel like you have roamed every street of Delhi are:
· India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan
· Lal Quila, Chandni Chowk Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Jama Masjid
· Humayun’s Tomb, Nizamuddin Dargah and Lodhi Garden
· Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and Sacred House Cathedral Church
· ISKCON Temple and Lotus Temple
· Hauz Khas Village, Hauz Khas Fort and Deer Park
· Akshardham Temple

Mumbai

The thing about Mumbai is you go five yards and all of human existence is revealed. It's an incredible cavalcade of life, and I love that
~Julian Sands

Coming to the financial capital of the country, Mumbai offers a lot to see in a short period of time. The top few of them are:
· Marine Drive and Gateway of India
· Juhu Beach and Radha Ras Bihari Temple
· The Flora Fountain and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus
· Film City
· Haji Ali, Mahalaxmi Temple and Siddhi Vinayak Temple

And needless to say, a trip to Mumbai would be incomplete without a trip in the Mumbai local, the lifeline of the city.

Kolkata

It was in Calcutta that I learnt about true warmth; about simple human decency; about love and friendship; about emotions and caring; about truth and honesty.
~Vir Sanghvi

The city of joy as the nation calls it, Kolkata is known for its art and culture, and for the way that it changes you for good. Here are the few places that need to be discovered when you visit Kolkata.
· St. Paul's Cathedral and Rabindra Sadan
· Howrah Bridge and Victoria Memorial
· Prinsep Ghat and Rabindra Sarobar

Chennai

I love Chennai because it's one of the few cities that makes you feel at home. Chennai has been very welcoming, the people are great and hospitable and our rice, sambar, potato fry is unbeatable!
~Sidney Sladen

The home to culture and hospitable strangers, Chennai is the least-explored metro city of India, even by frequent travelers and bloggers. However, the city has a charm of its own, and the following places in Chennai add on to the charm.
· Vivekananda House
· Victory War Memorial
· St. George's Fort
· Marina Beach
· Mahalingapuram Sree Ayyappa Temple
· The Big Mosque
