  • January is popular for job-searching, and many job seekers want to be able to work from home.
  • FlexJobs, a jobs site focused on remote work, identified the industries and roles to keep an eye on in 2023 if you're looking for a WFH gig.

If you're looking for a job, the start of a new year is generally considered a good time for it. And if you're looking for a remote job in particular, you should direct your attention to a few industries and roles.

FlexJobs, a jobs site for remote and hybrid work, published a blog post Monday identifying industries and jobs to watch in 2023 for work-from-home gigs.

Here are the industries that FlexJobs says you should keep an eye on for remote work in 2023:

  1. Computer & IT
  2. Marketing
  3. Accounting & Finance
  4. Project Management
  5. Medical & Health
  6. HR & Recruiting
  7. Customer Service

As for specific jobs, FlexJobs also highlighted the top 10 remote job titles posted on its platform in 2022. If history is any guide, they may be popular remote roles again this year. They are:

  1. Accountant
  2. Executive Assistant
  3. Customer Service Representative
  4. Senior Financial Analyst
  5. Recruiter
  6. Project Manager
  7. Technical Writer
  8. Product Marketing Manager
  9. Customer Success Manager
  10. Graphic Designer

Flexible work arrangements, including the ability to work hybrid or fully remote, have remained a key draw for job candidates since many employers adopted remote work during the pandemic. FlexJobs saw a 20% increase in its number of remote job listings from 2021 to 2022.
