Volvo C40 Recharge electric crossover has been launched in India. - The C40 Recharge is the second electric car from the company in India after the XC40 Recharge.

The India launch of the C40 Recharge was announced in June 2023 and the company has now launched the car in the country. With the two electric offerings, the company aims to push its EV penetration to 35% by next year. The car will be assembled at the company’s Hoskote facility near Bangalore.
The Volvo C40 Recharge has been launched with an introductory price of ₹61.25 lakh, ex-showroom. At this price point, the electric car will compete with the likes of the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the country.
The C40 Recharge is available in six colour options – Black Stone, Crystal White, Fjord Blue, Fusion Red, Onyx Black, Sage Green, Silver Down and Thunder Grey.
The Volvo C40 Recharge comes with a closed panel design and features the company’s signature Thor’s hammer LED headlamps. It features a coupe-like sloping roofline and features sporty alloy wheels.
The C40 Recharge is equipped with a dual-electric motor that generates 405bhp and 660 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 78kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer up to 530 km on a single charge. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 27 minutes using the 150kW DC fast charger.
The car features a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 9-inch infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, vegan interiors, automatic climate control, ventilated seats and more.
