1. Reddit has finally banned some of its most racist communities. It said that it took the decision because having them on the site "made recruiting more difficult."

2. Google CEO Larry Page really doesn't care about buying Twitter. A reporter from The Information has made it clear that Google doesn't want to acquire Twitter.

3. A security expert says that the FBI is wrong and that Apple can turn over encrypted messages to police. The FBI has been saying that encryption will mean that police can't solve crimes.

4. IBM has announced another deal with Apple. IBM customers are going to find it easy to integrate MacBooks into their networks.

5. Facebook has launched a new feature that's just like Twitter's video streaming app Periscope. Facebook Live is only available for famous users of the site, though.

6. Tech founder John McAfee was arrested over charges of possessing drugs and a handgun. Police could not confirm or deny that a shootout happened during the arrest.

7. Apple has lost $90 billion from its market cap in the last two weeks. Its share price has been dropping since July 20, the day before it reported its earnings.

9. VMware shares dropped over 5% after a report claimed that it wants to buy out parent company EMC. The downstream merger would see it buy EMC's 80% stake of VMware.
