Kawasaki Z650RS hits the road with a price tag of ₹6.99 lakh
Japanese automaker Kawasaki has launched its latest retro style bike, the Z650RS in India. The company launched the bike globally in 2023 and it has finally made its way to India.
The biggest change in the bike when compared to its predecessor is the addition of traction control. Apart from this, there have been no significant changes in the bike but the price has been increased by ₹7,000.
Kawasaki Z650RS price in India
The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS is priced at ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is currently available in a single colour option – Ebony Metallic Matte Carbon Gray. We expect the company to launch more colour options down the line.
Kawasaki Z650RS design
The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS is inspired by the company’s Z900RS and retains its retro styling. The bike is built on a trellis frame and retains its light design. It is suspended on a telescopic fork and features 17-inch alloy wheels. It features twin semi-digital instrument clusters and a circular headlamp on the front. The bike also retains its popular teardrop fuel tank design.
Z650RS gets traction control
The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS has been launched with two-mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). While the first mode is useful for sport riding, the second mode detects excessive wheel spin and is useful for riding in wet conditions.
Kawasaki Z650RS engine and performance
The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS is equipped with the same engine as its predecessor, a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine mated with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine develops 67 hp of power and 64Nm of peak torque.

The 2024 Kawasaki Z650RS competes with the likes of the Honda CB650R, Triumph Trident 660 and the Moto Morini SEIEMMEZZO 6.
