The Kotak Private Banking Hurun Leading Wealthy Women list of 2021 has a few surprises.

The list this year has 25 new entrants, and they have turned wealthier too. The report says that the cut-off wealth required to feature in the list has almost tripled since last year to ₹300 crore.

The cumulative wealth of the top 100 women in the list surged by 53% to ₹4,16,970 crore from ₹2,72,540 crore in 2020. The cumulative wealth of these women constitute 2% of India's nominal GDP.

The list is based on the networth calculated as on December 31, 2021.
