Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly a long-term target for David Beckham's new MLS club Inter Miami CF.

The club was only founded seven months ago and will not play in the MLS until 2020, but according to Calcio Mercato, the Daily Mail, and Goal.com, it is already identifying key players it wants on the team.

Ronaldo, 33, is apparently one of those players. The Portuguese striker left Real Madrid CF for Juventus FC in a shock $129.3 million (£99.2 million) deal earlier in the summer and is contracted to the Serie A team for four years, according to Forbes.

But that has reportedly not deterred Inter Miami from putting Ronaldo at the top of the club's hit-list of desired targets.

After Ronaldo completed his medical evaluation at Juventus, the results showed that the player was performing like a 20-year-old athlete.

And even if Ronaldo stayed at Juventus for every year of his current deal and joined Beckham's club after, he would still only be 37 - one year older than Zlatan Ibrahimović who, despite his age, is currently LA Galaxy's most impressive player according to Whoscored.com statistics.

Signing Ronaldo is not a guarantee of success, but it is close. After all, the player has won three Premier League titles in England, two La Liga championships in Spain, and five UEFA Champions League trophies overall.

He has competed in three Serie A matches for Juventus, but is yet to score a goal.
