Crompton Greaves Appoints New President For Power Business Unit

Electrical products major Crompton Greaves (CG) has appointed Jean Michel Aubertine as its new executive president and president of Power Business vertical. Aubertine will take over from Jayant G Kulkarni, who is retiring from the company after a 34-year long successful career.

“Jean Michel with his extensive experience in global electrical market has spearheaded businesses in various locations in India, Europe and USA… Power is the largest business unit of CG and is well entrenched both in India and globally…The appointment is in line with CG’s global expansion strategy in which Jean Michel will play a pivotal role given his years of experience and domain expertise,” said the company in a letter to the National Stock Exchange on December 3, 2014.

Before joining CG, Aubertine has served as the COO and president of DOOSAN Power Systems. Some of his previous stints include heading the Global Sales and Marketing division as well as Energy and Environment Systems Business vertical at Alstom, another electrical giant.
