While the debate on postponing the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is still on, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued detailed guidelines for students set to appear in both the exams.

These guidelines were released even when thousands of students were protesting across the country — demanding postponement of the exams due to increasing coronavirus cases in the country.

NEET 2020 is scheduled for September 13, while the JEE Mains is to be held between September 1 to September 6. The Supreme Court has ordered that the exams will take place in September — triggering debate across the country. A large section of people including BJP MP Subramanian Swamy, Congress’ Rahul Gandhi and DMK President MK Stalin believes these exams should be deferred further.

However, NTA has clarified that exams will happen as per schedule.
