Blackberry might have been going through a tough time, but Akash Mainra, Manager, Enterprise Sales, Blackberry India, seems upbeat about the company. As an exclusive to Business Insider India, he said that BlackBerry is going to incorporate cloud and allied services in a big way in the coming year.

There will be lots that will be given to the enterprise clients who are sticking to the BlackBerry 10 platform. They are going to make the security system more robust and will introduce more safety features to the new platform. They are involving some of the existing enterprise clients in the development stages too. This will help them get real time feedback.

This seems like a decent move by the company to boost sales, in the process to upgrade existing users to new devices and OS. There are quite a few companies in India who extensively use the BB network and one would believe upgrading them to the new BB world would be as easy as reciting ABC. But that is not the case; the task ahead of BlackBerry is a tough one as there has been lot of speculation of the company being sold. Adding the woes, news of some of the top level executives moving away from BB international is not strengthening their position either.

This confusion might just repel the potential customers from doing any sort of transactions with the company. In all this, BlackBerry India did say they are cash rich and have reserves going into millions of dollars and are not in any sort of trouble.

Till date, there is not even one company who has come close to the mobile E-mail solutions, which BlackBerry can provide. Hanging on to this thin rope of hope, many believe that the company stays afloat and comes out of this ill-fated time. Optimistically, 2014 will tell a different story for them.
