Eventbrite hires new Chief Financial Officer from Yelp

Eventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform, has named Lanny Baker as Chief Financial Officer. Baker was previously Chief Financial Officer at Yelp where he oversaw corporate finance, accounting, investor relations, and workplace functions.

Paal Kibsgaard appointed Chief Operating Officer at Katerra

Katerra, a construction technology company, announced that Paal Kibsgaard has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Kibsgaard has served on Katerra's Board of Directors for three years and was previously Chairman and CEO of Schlumberger.

Former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis joins the board of General Dynamics

General Dynamics have appointed Jim Mattis, who served as the 26th United States Secretary of Defense from January 2017 to December 2018, to its board of directors. Mattis previously served on the board from August 2013 to January 2017 before becoming Secretary of Defense. General Dynamics is the fifth-largest defense contractor in the United States.

Grant Thornton appoints new Head of Advisory Services

Jim Peko has been appointed Managing Principal of Grant Thornton's national Advisory Services practice. He most recently served as national managing principal of the firm's Transaction Services practice. Peko has nearly 30 years of experience.

Mark Anderson appointed Chief Growth Officer at Anaplan

Anaplan, a pioneer in connected planning, has appointed Mark Anderson as Chief Growth Officer. Anderson was most recently at Palo Alto Networks, where he served as President and Chief Revenue Officer since 2012. During his time there, he helped grow the company from pre-IPO to one of the top companies in enterprise security.
