Economists are expecting claims to rise slightly to 269,000.
Last week, claims rose less than expected to to 265,000, below expectations of 268,000.
Meanwhile, the four-week moving average was 268,000, an increase of 750 from the previous week's revised average.
Claims have run under 300,000 for 54 straight weeks - the longest streak since 1973 - as the labor market continues to accelerate towards full employment.
