Andhra Pradesh recorded 553 COVID-19 new cases today only, total tally 10884

Amaravati, June 25 (): Andhra Pradesh recorded yet another new high on Thursday with 553 coronavirus cases being added in a single day, taking the aggregate to 10,884. Another seven patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the overall toll to 136, the latest Covid-19 bulletin said.

Two patients each died in Kurnool, Krishna and Guntur districts and another in East Godavari.

The bulletin said 118 patients recovered from the infection and got discharged from hospitals across the state.

With this, 4,988 patients were discharged so far, leaving 5,760 active cases.

Of the 10,884 coronavirus cases, 8,783 were locals, 1,730 from other states and 371 foreign returnees.

Government statistics revealed that 7,69,319 tests were conducted in the state at the rate of 14,407 per million population.
