One person was hospitalized after being shot by a police officer during a domestic dispute near the baggage claim of Dallas' Love Field airport on Friday, Dallas police officials confirmed.
The suspect had been attacking a woman's car with a rock when a police officer confronted him, a Dallas police spokesman said in a press conference. The man then rushed the police officer instead of standing down, and the officer opened fire.
Video of the shooting was uploaded to Instagram immediately following the incident. It had been viewed more than 10,000 times as of this article's publishing:
The officer, who appeared to be with airport security, fired nine shots. He yells "stay down" after he finishes shooting. Bystanders' screams can be heard in the clip.
DPD sources say the incident at Love Field started off as domestic violence situation. A man was assaulting a woman. Ofc intervened.
