Maharashtra’s Osmanabad Lok Sabha constituency has six assembly seats namely Ausa, Umarga, Tuljapur, Osmanabad, Paranda, and Barshi. In this list of constituencies, Umarga is a reserved seat and contestable only by SC candidates. The remaining five are general seats.

For the upcoming assembly elections, Ausa electors will see a competition between the INC candidate Basavraj Madhavrao Patil and the BJP candidate Abhimanyu Pawar. The Tuljapur INC candidate is Madhukarrao Devram Chavan who will lock horns with the BJP candidate Rana Jagjitsingh Pa. From the Purandar seat, Shiv Sena is fielding Vijay Shivtare against the INC contestant Sanjay Chandrakant Jagtap.

As per the Election Commission’s notification, Maharashtra assembly constituencies will go for single phase polling on October 21, 2019 and the results will be counted on October 24, 2019.

Osmanabad voters have elected Gaikwad Ravindra Vishwanath of the SHS party as their parliamentary representative. He secured 234,325 votes more than the runner up candidate Patil Padmasinha Bajirao of NCP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

During the 2014 assembly elections, Ausa voters gave 8858 more votes to INC candidate Basavraj Madhavrao Patil than the runner up Dinkar Baburao Mane of SHS and made him the MLA. From the Umarga (SC) seat, SHS candidate Chougule Dnyanraj Dhondiram got a margin of 20442 votes than INC’s Kisan Nagnath Kamble and won this constituency. The winner from the Tuljapur seat was INC’s Chavan Madhukarrao Deorao who got 29610 votes more than the NCP contestant Gore Jeevanrao Vishwanathrao and went to the assembly. The Osmanabad winner is Rana Jagjit Sinha Padma Sinha Patil of NCP who got 10806 more votes than Omprakash Bhupalsinha (Pawanraje) Rajenimbalkar of SHS. The Paranda seat winner was Mote Rahul Maharudra of NCP. He got 12389 votes more than Patil Dnyaneshwar Raosaheb of SHS. From the Barshi seat, Dilip Gangadhar Sopal of NCP won over Rajendra Vitthal Raut of SHS with a margin of 5111 votes.
