Lenovo LOQ 15 to help you decide whether you should buy the device or not.
The LOQ 15 series includes the 15IRX9, 15IAX9I, and 15IAX9. The laptop I tested was the 15IRX9, which is the top offering in the lineup. The laptop looks similar to most standard laptops and comes with a slightly different lid design.
I’ve been using the LOQ 15 15IRX9 gaming laptop with the Intel Core i7-14700HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics in the single Luna Grey colour for a few days now, and here is my detailed review of the latest gaming laptop from Lenovo.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 laptop is priced at ₹1,23,491 in India for the Intel Core i7-14700HX variant with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics. It comes in a single colour option – Luna Grey.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a sleek-looking laptop that skips out on flashy RGB lighting and comes with a minimalistic look. Unlike a lot of the gaming laptops available in the market, you do not have to worry about a flashy design or RGB lighting on the device and this can easily double up as a work laptop.
The LOQ 15 comes with a smooth finish at the back with the Luna Grey colour. It has Lenovo branding on the side and LOQ branding in larger letters. Apart from this, it features a clean back.
The LOQ 15 is on the heavier side, weighing 2.38 kg. In addition to this, it comes with a bulky 230W charger, which makes it slightly difficult to carry around every day.
The device comes with ample vents to dissipate the heat, at the back and the bottom.
The device is equipped with ample ports. It comes with 2 x USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an Ethernet port, an HDMI 2.1 port and the charging port at the back.
On the right side, the laptop comes with a USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a shutter to close the webcam and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Coming to the keyboard, Lenovo has used the available area to fit in the number pad, which is rare for a laptop. This is another aspect that makes it a good option for both work and gaming. The keys have a 1.5mm key travel and feel great to type on. The touchpad is also decent and I did not face any issues while using it.
It comes with a large lid, that extends beyond the hinge, making it feel more durable and sturdier while opening and closing.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display that offers a 144Hz refresh rate and 300 nits brightness. The high refresh rate display makes it a great option for fans of fast-paced action games.
I played several games on the device while testing it, the device managed to offer good visuals in each case. While a higher resolution display would have offered better visuals, the LOQ 15 can handle itself well. The display offers good colour accuracy and vibrant visuals.
The LOQ 15 is equipped with the Intel Core i7-14700HX processor coupled with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics. The laptop is available in a single variant with 16GB LPDDR5 5600 MHz RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD.
I tested the laptop with several games, including The Finals, Alan Wake 2 and Counter Strike 2. The laptop was able to handle these games without any issues while playing in medium settings.
The laptop is equipped with a 60Wh battery, which is on the smaller side. Battery life is usually an issue with gaming laptops and the LOQ 15 also faces the same. You will find it difficult to use it for more than a couple of hours without plugging it in.
The Lenovo LOQ 15 is a good option if you are looking for a pocket-friendly gaming laptop that offers decent performance and comes with a sturdy design. It features a good display and offers proper cooling, making gaming a good experience.
At the same time, its weight and battery life make portability a concern. If you are unlikely to carry it with you or use it outdoors, you can easily consider the LOQ 15.
