Tech wrap: India’s first ever Facebook concert, a mural so big that you can see it from space and the gender inequality in India’s IT sector

A rangoli, Indian art form of floor murals, has been captured by Google satellites and can be seen from space — or using your Google Maps mobile app. The mural stretches over 250,000 square feet and took the artist 2,500 kilograms of seeds to complete.

India’s IT sector only sees a female representation of 26% versus 74% of the workforce is male. A new report by the Universum shows that engineering and the IT sector at large have been actively hiring but gender equality remains a challenge for them to overcome.
