As Antonio Brown adjusts to his move from Oakland, California, to Foxborough, Massachusetts, Tom Brady is opening his doors to his new, high-profile teammate.

"I'd love for him to stay at my house," Brady told USA Today's Jarrett Bell after the New England Patriots' 33-3 Week 1 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. "He's got a lot of stuff going on, but if he wants to, he's welcome."

The comments came after NBC's Al Michaels said on the "Sunday Night Football" broadcast that the Patriots approached Brady about signing Brown, who was released from the Oakland Raiders on Saturday after a tumultuous six-month stint. Michaels said that after Brady approved, he told Brown to move in with him.

Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, put their Brookline, Massachusetts, home up for sale in August for $39.5 million. The five-bedroom house sits on a lot adjacent to a golf course and includes a guest house. According to Bell, Brady appeared serious about the offer, but it wasn't clear if he meant Brown would stay in the guest house.

Brady said Brown was staying at a hotel Sunday night.

While the addition of Brown to the Patriots offense is a titillating proposition, Brady himself downplayed it.Speaking to NBC's Peter King, Brady said while the potential is high, he wants to see it happen on the field first.

"Everybody says, 'Whoa, this is what it can be, and what potential they have,'" Brady told King. "But you know, the teams I've been on, they go to work ... The point is, it's one thing to talk about, it's another thing to go do it. Let's go do it. That's what my attitude is."
