The round also saw participation from Bbigplas Poly and other angels. <keyword id="10784272" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Burma-Burma-Restaurant" source="Orion">Burma Burma Restaurant</keyword> and Tea Room were founded by Ankit Gupta and Chirag Chhajer. It was founded to introduce Burmese cuisine, offering Myanmar’s authentic taste and cuisine and providing a window into its culture. “I’ve grown up eating the Burmese dishes we serve at Burma Burma, as my mother learnt these recipes while growing up in Burma before the migration in the 1960s,” said Ankit Gupta, cofounder, Burma Burma. The restaurant was started in 2014 by the duo in Mumbai. The duo has opened seven outlets across Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Kolkata in the last nine years. With this funding, the company plans on opening eight new outlets in the next fifteen months, taking the total to fourteen outlets. “Nine years in this business, we’ve thoroughly tested all four zones of the Indian market for Burmese cuisine across six cities in India. With this round, we’re committed to entering new cities and expanding our base in existing ones,” said Chirag Chhajer, cofounder, Burma Burma. “With our 450+ member strong team, our next target is to take Burma Burma beyond India; we’re now ready more than ever,” Chhajer added. DoorDash just opened its first physical location as the pandemic fuels a ghost kitchen boom

 From Restaurant Week and Chef’s Table Week to <keyword id="3110275" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="DineFest">DineFest</keyword> and <keyword id="6181" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Food">Food</keyword> with Benefits, Nachiket Shetye (34) and Mangal Dalal (31), the chef-restaurateur-entrepreneur duo behind <keyword id="3110277" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Cellar-Door-Hospitality">Cellar Door Hospitality</keyword> have singlehandedly managed to not only introduce <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=mumbai&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Mumbai</a> to a host of unique culinary concepts but have also ensured to innovate with every single event, time and again. 
 And, now they are back to introduce <keyword id="6358070" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mumbai">Mumbai</keyword> to yet another culinary concept – the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/SmallPlatesWeek/?fref=ts">Small Plates Week</a>. 
 The inaugural edition of <keyword id="3422102" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Small-Plates-Week">Small Plates Week</keyword> will run for 10 days, from June 17 to June 26 comprising 15 participating restaurants and will let diners sample a variety of dishes at a fraction of cost. 
 
For Rs 1,000 (exclusive of taxes and service charge) per person, diners can choose from a <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=set+menu&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">set menu</a> of at least six <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=small+plates&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">small plates</a>, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian and follow it up with four desserts, and the good news is that they are free to reorder servings of any small plate they want to. 
 
There’s more. Some of the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=restaurants&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">restaurants</a> also have items on the event menu that are otherwise not available in their menu. For instance, The Fatty Bao’s menu will include a selection of new dishes such as The Fatty and Egg Dessert and The Slow Cooked Apple and Filo Pastry Slice.

 When asked about the inspiration behind introducing <keyword id="3422103" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Small-Plates">Small Plates</keyword> Week, Shetye tells us that it is in essence the reflection of the current scenario; wherein India, and to be specific, Mumbai is witnessing an influx of cafes and bars. 
 
“At a time like this, how does one decide which restaurant is worth checking out and, more importantly how do they know which dishes they should order? This is where we come in. With this event, we aim to help people discover new restaurants in the city,” he adds. 
 There’s also the fact that people nowadays are eating out in larger groups with their friends or families and as Indians, we love sharing our food. This says Shetye makes the concept of ‘Small Plates’ as a theme for a <keyword id="3422105" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="culinary-event">culinary event</keyword> a perfect fit. 
 
“The advantage of small plates is that you’re not limited to just two-three dishes and instead can sample a variety of dishes, in the process discovering dishes you might not have ordered otherwise,” he explains.

Shetye also believes that one of the reasons the trend of small plates has caught up this quickly is because as Indians, we are already familiar with the concept. “Our Indian thalis itself consist of small servings of sabzi, farsan, dal, sweet etc, so it’s not like trend is alien to us. We’ve been eating like this for a long way.” 
 
Echoing his thoughts, Ashish Sajnani, Owner, Eat Thai, one of the participating restaurant says, “Though Indians are now experimenting with their food choices, they still remain price conscious. And, this is one of the reasons teh concept of small plates has clicked because it gives the customer the leeway to variety while still being inexpensive.” 
 
To decide on the list of participating restaurants, the team looked extensively at food reviews, talked to food bloggers and restaurants, conducted surveys and also ensured they approach establishments which actually do small plates, Shetye tells us. 
 
To his surprise, all the restaurants they approached in the process of finalising the 15 restaurants for Small Plates Week responded very encouragingly and were of the opinion that it would not only aid in their discovery but would also let them showcase the dishes they do well.

For Chef Prashant of Fatty Bao, the aim of associating with events like Small Plates Week is to offer the joy and experience of a small plate meal to customers and thereby popularize the concept further. “Additionally, this will also help us draw in a new and relevant set of customers as well as showcase the philosophy behind the trendy Asian cuisine available at our restaurant.” 
 
All in all, Shetye hopes that Small Plates Week allows customers to have a good time, discover newer restaurants, try cuisines that are out of their comfort zones and aids in the concept catching on. 
 
Small Plates Week, which took the team almost six months to plan will also spread its wings to Delhi later this year.

With the Adani group acquiring a 99.5 per cent stake in RRPR Holding, the latter's original promoters <keyword id="360054" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="prannoy-roy" source="Orion">Prannoy Roy</keyword> and <keyword id="213943" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="radhika-roy" source="Orion">Radhika Roy</keyword> resigned as Directors, the NDTV said on Tuesday. The company also said it was informed by the promoter group vehicle RRPR Holding that the latter's board approved the appointment of Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan as Directors with immediate effect. The RRPR Holding owns a 29.18 per cent stake in NDTV, which has three national television channels. The Adani group has also made an open offer to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake in NDTV at a price Rs 294 per share. NDTV scrip hits upper circuit after Prannoy and Radhika Roy resign

Production banner Panorama Studios shared the latest box office figures of the suspense thriller movie, which opened to positive reviews upon its release on November 18. <ul class="summary-list"><li>Six years after getting married and with a toddler, I decided to get divorced. </li><li>I was always a planner, but after my divorce, I decided to stop planning and just do things. </li></ul>Before my divorce, I thought I had a very clear idea of who I was: a list keeper, a fulfiller of obligations, someone who always had extra toilet paper on hand and kept spare gifts in the closet just in case. I even kept lists of my lists and never, ever forgot a birthday. When it came to a potential mate, I made an inventory of qualities I wanted and then went out and found the man who had them.What I didn't anticipate was that <a href="https://www.insider.com/friend-offered-to-help-me-run-away-from-my-wedding-2022-8">my marriage</a> would make me feel so bitterly lonely that six years in, I couldn't stand it anymore. I felt lost.<h2>My one-night stand was more than one night long</h2>That's when I met Tim, behind the bar at a restaurant across the street from my building in Brooklyn. A recent transplant from Chicago, he was ambitious but at loose ends, planning eventually to move to Africa to join the Peace Corps. He was also 12 years younger than me, but in my new state, that was no deterrence. I began sitting at the bar for dinner on the off-chance I would see him, behavior that I once would have thought ridiculous. One night, I screwed up my courage and asked him out and crossed another threshold: my first one-night stand. The only trouble was one night turned into another and then another."You're terrible at casual sex," my friend Guy told me, scowling. "You did it all wrong. While the pandemic didn't initiate the adoption of same-day delivery, it definitely accelerated it, Brush said. For instance, DoorDash launched a partnership with PetSmart in September to offer same-day delivery across some 1,400 of the retailer's stores. It's the delivery platform's first foray into pet retail. The firm has also teamed up with drug stores to offer same-day delivery of prescription medications and other products. In July, DoorDash announced that customers in select cities would be able to order more than 2,000 items from Walgreens through the DoorDash app, which also recently added partners including 7-Eleven, CVS, and Wawa. In late October, DoorDash announced a collaboration with Sam's Club Pharmacy for same-day prescription delivery. And amid all of its new same-day-delivery initiatives, the company is also expanding its core food-delivery business. Last month, the delivery firm announced it had teamed up with Bay Area restaurant brand Burma Superstar to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/doordash-partnered-with-a-restaurant-to-open-physical-location-2020-11">launch a brick-and-mortar location</a> oriented toward pickup and delivery orders. Flexibility is here to stay, but delivery will never replace the in-store experience, Macy's executive says of new DoorDash partnership

So it makes sense that travelers are looking to other, lesser-known destinations for their next trip. 
Love Home Swap compiled a list of the top <a href="http://www.lovehomeswap.com/blog/latest-news/50-holiday-hotspots-to-watch">50 up-and-coming countries to watch</a>, based on data from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). They compared growth figures for each country by looking at the annual growth per year figures for travel and tourism's direct contribution to the country's GDP between 2014 and 2024.
The list was dominated by countries in Africa, with Namibia taking the number one spot. Sixteen other African countries made the list, including Zambia (#3), Angola (#4), and Cameroon (#16).
Several Asian countries also made the list, including China (#5), Burma (#7), Cambodia (#8), and Thailand (#9). 
Although some of these destinations don't necessarily have the infrastructure ready yet to support tourism, they are building up hotels, restaurants and shops that cater to foreign visitors and promoting themselves as top tourist destinations.

Because the new ships are seriously cool. Launching in November, Royal Caribbean International's 4,180-passenger Quantum of the Seas is so high-tech that industry insiders are calling it truly revolutionary. On board? A glass viewing capsule that rises 300 feet above the sea on a mechanical arm. 
You will find a laser-shooting range on the new Regal Princess and on the Norwegian Getaway, a "plank" for guests to walk that juts over the water. (Don't worry, you'll be harnessed in.) 
River ships are breaking new ground (er, waters), too: with Scenic Cruises, your cabin's balcony becomes a sun room on cool days; Tauck River Cruising's new ships have 22 suites with some 300 square feet of space, larger than any other staterooms on European rivers. 
Starting this spring, Emerald Waterways will offer European itineraries on two ships equipped with heated pools and movie theaters. Scenic Cruises, A-ROSA Cruises, Tauck River Cruising, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection and Viking Cruises are among the other lines with new vessels this year. Amenities include butler service, free Wi-Fi, and floor-to-ceiling views.
Because the food rivals what you'll find on land. Immersive culinary experiences are now so much a part of cruising that you can try some of the top city restaurants at sea. Geoffrey Zakarian, chef at Manhattan hot spot the Lambs Club, has restaurants on the Norwegian Breakaway and the Norwegian Getaway. 
You'll find outposts from Michael Schwartz of Miami's Michael's Genuine Food &amp; Drink on Royal Caribbean International's Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. Don't miss the molecular and ice bars on Celebrity and Carnival; they're as chic as any urban boîte.
Because going digital has never been easier at sea. Most mega-ships now have digital directional signs, language apps and culture guides with GPS mapping. Crystal Cruises provides live streaming of TV news and movies in all cabins. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is making the Wi-Fi experience so much better: double the satellite bandwidth, greater speed, and even free service for guests in concierge-level and higher suites.
Robots are on board, too: a remote camera on Lindblad Expeditions' new National Geographic Orion lets you see down under, while Quark Expeditions' Antarctic ships have drones with GoPro cameras that give you a view from above. On Quantum, interior staterooms offer real-time ocean views on their virtual balconies.
Because you'll have exclusive, insider-only experiences. In Europe and the Americas, cruisers will mix visits to much-loved cities and heritage sites with VIP adventures, behind-the-scenes access, and events including the World Cup, the British Open, and the Grand Prix of Monaco (all of which tend to make booking hotel stays on land a challenge).
Guests of Celebrity can spend a day driving a Ferrari through villages around Nice, France, while with Seabourn, you can walk through penguin colonies on the Antarctic ice before slipping into the spa back on board for a Thai herbal-poultice massage.
