The gross revenue was Rs 1,827 crore, reflecting a growth of +17 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year. All hospitals improved their average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) during the period and the overall average growth in ARPOB stood at 13 per cent year-on-year. Cash flow from operations stood at Rs 436 crore during the quarter, of which Rs 90 crore was spent on ongoing capacity expansion projects. International patient revenue grew by 25 over the same period of the previous year and +11 per cent compared to the preceding quarter. The share of international patient revenues stood at 9 per cent of the hospital revenue during the quarter.

New Delhi, Apr 15 () Max Healthcare on Wednesday said it has commenced precautionary coronavirus testing of all its 24,000 employees and in-patients to ensure that hospitals remain safe for them.COVID-19 is an unprecedented global pandemic and despite being at a high risk, front-line care givers are working relentlessly day in and day out to provide the necessary care to the patients in need, Max Healthcare said in a statement. A large number of infections amongst healthcare workers have the potential of severely crippling the healthcare systems, it added.All patients admitted across the network hospitals in the non-COVID wards and new patients will also be tested at the time of admission so as to ensure that hospitals remain safe, Max Healthcare said. "Max Healthcare is combining global learning with local innovations to protect its healthcare workers, patients and hospitals. We have also developed Covid and non-Covid hospitals so that there is minimal risk to non-Covid patients and staff," Max Healthcare and Radiant Life Care Chairman Abhay Soi said."We have seen as in Singapore that meticulous planning, testing and process safeguards can allow us to minimise infections amongst healthcare workers, he added. The healthcare workers managing the Covid wards are staying within the hospital premises to provide seamless care as well as to limit any chances of spreading the disease, the statement said. Max Healthcare to conduct precautionary Covid-19 tests of all employees, in-patients

New Delhi, Jun 13 () Max Healthcare on Saturday said the rate list being circulated on Twitter does not carry the complete facts of the rates being charged, as it includes cost of routine tests, medicines, doctor and nurse, among others. The clarification from the healthcare chain came as the rates charged by the private players have come under the public scanner on the micro-blogging site. Max Healthcare said its package rate card for COVID-19 medical management with all inclusions is -- economy at Rs 25,090, twin sharing ward is at 27,100, the single ward is at Rs 30,400, ICU is for Rs 53,000 and ICU with a ventilator is at Rs 72,500. This includes room rent, intensivist visits, visits by senior consultants, nursing charges, routine medicines and supplements for COVID treatment, medical consumables and all routine pathology investigations, among others, it added. "We are today running close to 1,000 COVID beds and have so far treated over 2,000 COVID patients. We have 1,970 healthcare workers (HCWs) taking care of these patients round the clock, we had over 427 HCWs falling sick and admitted, we had 3,220 staff quarantined, and intermittently off work over the last 2.5 months, yet we continue to serve. "However, the accusations of profiteering are completely wrong; our COVID only facility in Saket, which was fully occupied for the month of May 2020, incurred huge losses. New Delhi, Apr 24 () Bioplus Healthcare on Friday said it has launched hand sanitiser under its SterloMax brand to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The rub-in-hand disinfectant is available in two variants, SterloMax I with 75 per cent isopropyl alcohol and SterloMax E80 with 80 per cent ethanol as per WHO recommended formula, the company said in a statement. SterloMax is already available through Flipkart and ShopClues and will also be available on Amazon by the end of the month, while it can also be purchased via BigBasket in Bengaluru, it added. The brand will soon be available in several pharmacies in South India, and pan-India within 90 days, the company said. RKL HRS

As per a news report in The Economic Times, employers are conducting shopping de-addiction programme. Optum International, the organisation that conducts the de-addiction programme, connects the candidate with counsellor. 
 
HRs across various industries have noted, employees would have various shopping apps open in their mobile and would be seen secretly shopping the entire month. 
 
The financial daily has reported that a person named Anirudh Sehgal has recently undergone Optum treatment. 
 "We not only made him realise the long-term impact and possible ways to tackle this addiction, we also connected him to our financial advisors who helped him plan his expenses better," Amber Alam, <keyword id="193500" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="head-of-business">head of business</keyword> (India), Optum International (formerly <keyword id="175916" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="PPC-Worldwide">PPC Worldwide</keyword>), a provider of employee counselling told the ET. 
 
It has so far conducted online shopping de-addiction programmes for about 500 executives. 
 
The tribe of such compulsive online prodigals is slowly growing, say counsellors and psychiatrists. This is forcing companies to come alongside and offer help to executives addicted to buying stuff online. 
 "Shopping addiction exists in our study on exploration of behavioural addiction in community," Dr <keyword id="23353" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="manoj-kumar">Manoj Kumar</keyword> Sharma, additional professor, department of clinical psychology, NIMHANS, Bangalore told the financial daily. 
 About 4.7% of female respondents and 3.5% of male respondents admitted to <keyword id="2828857" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Online-shopping-addiction">online shopping addiction</keyword> in a NIMHANS study of 2,750 people in the age group of 18-65 years. The study was funded by Indian Council of Medical Research, Delhi. 
 Every day, <keyword id="127958" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sameer-Malhotra">Sameer Malhotra</keyword>, who heads the department of <keyword id="6354774" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mental-health">mental health</keyword> &amp; behavioural sciences at <keyword id="129905" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Max-Healthcare">Max Healthcare</keyword>, treats at least two patients struggling with compulsive online shopping disorders. Leading multinational corporations are seeking de-addiction and counselling assistance for their employees, companies that provide such assistance say. 
 
"There is a lot of anxiety because people are spending money buying stuff on the Internsitting in offices, airports, washrooms, wherever they can, and damaging their finances," added Alam. 
 
"This is a kind of compulsive behaviour where consumers get a kick or are compelled to buy things they do not need in abundance," says Max Healthcare's Malhotra. "It sometimes boils down to keeping them under supervision or keeping away plastic money from them," he adds. 
 Online retailers claim to be unaware of this syndrome. "We haven't come across any cases of online addiction among consumers so far," Praveen Sinha, co-founder and managing director of <keyword id="1484171" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="jabong-com">Jabong.com</keyword> told the ET. "
