Lightweighting is going to happen because of the emissions norms,” said B R Preetham, group chief executive officer at Sansera Engineering in an interview with Business Insider. Aluminium is lighter than steel, better for recycling and reduces emissions. Due to its upcoming IPO compliance requirements, Preetham did not reveal their overall investment towards this segment but mentioned, “we have invested a lot in the aluminium forgings and thereby expect increasing revenue from it further,” said Preetham. Sansera Engineering’s IPO opens today and closes on September 16 The company is looking to raise ₹1,282 crore from an offer for sale of 1.72 crore shares at a price band ₹734-744. Ahead of the IPO, the company had mopped up ₹382 crore from anchor investors. Government of Singapore, Abhu Dhabi Investment Authority, Axis MF, ICICI Prudential MF are some of the anchor investors who bought the IPO. The allotment of the shares will be revealed on September 21 and the shares will be listed on September 24. The verdict from analysts has been a mixed one. Ventura Securities argues that the IPO is overpriced and that the return on investment may be the worst in the sector. attempt to go public. Earlier, it had filed for an IPO with the market regulator in August 2018. Sansera wants a share in the electric vehicles pie Meanwhile, the company is also expanding its component services to the electric vehicle segment. “Only 6% of our business is under that (electrification). But having said that we have already started our journey into electrification, we have secured orders from new age startups who are setting up huge facilities for electric two wheelers. We are going to supply about 8 components to them,” added the company management in an interview. India’s early technology companies like online travel aggregator platforms MakeMyTrip and Yatra, had listed in the Nasdaq, many many years ago owing to the US’ friendly moves for technology companies. Even now, companies like ReNew Power and <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/startups/grofers-listing-grofers-in-talks-with-cantor-fitzgeralds-spac-for-nasdaq-listing/articleshow/81181364.cms">reportedly</a> Grofers, are headed for the US public markets through a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC). There are other companies like Zomato, Delhivery, and Nykaa plan their initial public offering (IPO), SEBI has initiated a bunch of measures, much like Nasdaq, that would make it easier and, therefore, encourage startups to make their market debut in India. "Everyone’s eager that the IGP can actually become like the Nasdaq of India,” Siddarth Pai, founding partner at 3one4 Capital and co-chair of the regulatory affairs committee at the Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA) told <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/newsletters/morning-dispatch/indias-nasdaq/articleshow/81698790.cms?UTM_Source=Google_Newsstand&amp;UTM_Campaign=RSS_Feed&amp;UTM_Medium=Referral">ET</a>. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Here are some of the changes introduced by the SEBI" comment="subhead" text="Here are some of the changes introduced by the SEBI">Here are some of the changes introduced by the SEBI</cmsannotation> – The holding period for pre-issue capital has been brought down from the existing two years to one year. This step will allow startups to make a discretionary allotment to eligible investors—a facility available to companies that list on BSE and NSE. – It has allowed for startups, that are headed for an IPO, to allocate up to 60% of the issue size to any eligible investor with a lock-in of 30 days on such shares. This is important as currently an issuer company isn’t allowed to make discretionary allotment. – An investor’s pre-issue shareholding can be considered for 25% of the pre-issue capital, instead of the current 10% limit. – It has also officially allowed Differential Voting Rights for listed companies in its board meeting which was held today. With Differential Voting Rights, companies whose promoters hold skill and talent to run the business can sell shares giving away their control in the company. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="A great idea waiting for the execution test" comment="subhead" text="A great idea waiting for the execution test">A great idea waiting for the execution test</cmsannotation> Market participants are excited about the potential of this new platform. “Sebi is finally giving cognisance to the fact that IGP is going to be a mainstay for more sophisticated investors and hence [needs] a more light-touch regulation," Pai added. But the new platform still has to go through the test. “Bankers and potential issuers will scrutinise this route at more length before deciding to take this route, as currently, most startups focus is to list on the mainboard. The feasibility and traction of the IGP platform are yet to be tested and the benchmark for the same will get established by the first couple of contenders who chose to go through this route,” said Ankur Bansal, Co-founder and Director, at BlackSoil, an investment firm. Madhur Singhal, Managing Partner &amp; CEO, Praxis Global Alliance believes that the new rules will encourage startups to consider local listing, especially startups that are profitable and are already accessing the public markets and reaping success as shown by the recent IPO of Nazara. But still, there’s a long way to go. “While it is a step in the same direction, we are still far away from where US bourses are. We need a comprehensive framework for listing businesses that might still not be profitable. Several friction points like the ESOP framework and Angel investor tax treatment still need to be addressed for SEBI's vision to be fully realized,” Singhal told Business Insider. Police said on Tuesday the accused -- Tusar Tyagi and Shubham -- became friends while playing PUBG games during the lockdown period. Initially, Shubham started to provide UC game accessories to Tusar and spoke to him through VOIP calls. After they became friends, Shubham told him that he worked in <keyword id="6354680" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="credit">Credit</keyword> and Debit Cards phishing and had good knowledge to earn easy money in <keyword id="32575" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="cyberspace">Cyberspace</keyword>. He offered Tusar 20 per cent commission on the sale of his sellings. During January 2021 Shubham contacted Tusar and asked him to collect his smart mobile phones from <keyword id="152739" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Croma">Croma</keyword> stores and to sell it in open market. "After keeping his commission of 20 per cent, he had to deposit the remaining amount in Shubham's wallet and bank account. Hence, Tusar started working for Shubham. He has deposited approx. ₹2 lakh in Shubham's wallets and bank account till now," said Atul Thakur, DCP South Delhi. The matter came to light when an Advocate lodged a complaint at the Malviya Nagar police station that he had got an SMS on his mobile to redeem his Kotak Mahendra bank and <keyword id="2179992" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="RBL-Bank">RBL Bank</keyword> credit cards. And, as soon as he clicked on the given web link and entered his card credentials, he lost Rs 1 lakh from his credit cards. Beneficiary accounts and wallets were investigated which revealed that the cheated amount had been credited in a <keyword id="6357120" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="paytm">Paytm</keyword> account at first and then it was used for Croma Gift Voucher Accounts. The Delhi Police then alerted the Croma store at <keyword id="187307" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Preet-Vihar">Preet Vihar</keyword> and on February 28, the staff of Croma store informed the police as soon as 21-year-old Tusar Tyagi came to the store. He was arrested under Section 420/120B. The police team is now working to arrest his partner Shubham. The government however refuted the claim and said that the CoWIN platform was never hacked. The government however claims that requests are accepted only from a trusted API. “There are some APIs which have been shared with third parties such as ICMR for sharing data. It is reported that one such API has a feature of sharing the data by calling using just a mobile number of Aadhaar. However, even this API is very specific and the requests are only accepted from a trusted API which has been white-listed by the Co-WIN application.” <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Expert take" comment="subhead" text="Expert take">Expert take</cmsannotation> CloudSEK, which provides AI digital risk management solutions has analysed the telegram bot using XVigil, its AI digital risk platform. According to the company, the data is from a 2022 leak wherein a Russian cybercrime forum offered compromised access to the CoWIN platform for the Tamil Nadu region. For example, adding a layer of augmented reality and analytics ⁠to these allow it to offer remote assistance. “The common framework also makes us agile. A new product that we start to work on can immediately use our existing micro-services (such as single sign-on) instead of having to reinvent the wheel,” Singh said, adding that Zoho’s leadership has been with the company for over a decade. The company now has over 50 apps across every major business category — sales, marketing, customer support, accounting and more. The company claims to have 70 million users across 500,000 companies. Singh also mentioned that Zoho’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology such as natural language processing (NPL) gets adopted across products across these different brands of Zoho. Zoho’s latest offering is an attempt to take on <keyword id="1017386" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="coursera" source="Orion">Coursera</keyword> and <keyword id="2240844" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="udemy" source="Orion">Udemy</keyword> Zoho entered the online learning space with the launch of its latest business vertical TrainerCentral last week. It offers digital platforms to allow individual teachers, solopreneurs and experts in a particular field to offer training online. TrainerCentral — which will be a sister to Zoho’s other brands ManageEngine, Zoho and Qntrl — offers tools like website builder, business administration console, dedicated learner portal, payments gateway, online conferencing and analytics for the trainers. Aarthi Elizabeth, chief brand evangelist of TrainerCentral at Zoho, told Business Insider that Trainer Central is seen as a rival to “Coursera and Udemy” — which enables individuals and universities to offer their courses online. Coursera and Udemy have an entire catalogue of courses being offered online. Meanwhile, Zoho’s TrainerCentral offers a link to trainers who would like to hold live online sessions or classes with their students or customers. Zoho does not have any content ownership, nor any control on the courses being offered to the customers. They are offering this same community a more advanced platform to grow their businesses and to learn better,” investment firm Blacksoil’s founder and chief executive Ankur Bansal told Business Insider.
