BaubleBar is one of my favorite places to get affordable, trendy hoops. Check out how mine have held up, below.

  • I've already wrote about why I love shopping at BaubleBar. The site is a retail destination for trendy, affordable jewelry.
  • While I haven't spent much on my BaubleBar pieces, they've held up surprisingly well over time, and I wear them often.
  • Here are my favorite BaubleBar pieces, how they look after months of wear, and alternatives you can find on BaubleBar right now.

I love keeping up with all the latest jewelry trends, but I don't love spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of earrings I won't wear come next season. That's why BaubleBar is one of my favorite places to shop - they have an unmatched selection of affordable, trendy jewelry.

When it comes to jewelry, price usually is a pretty good indicator of quality. Precious gems and metals last longer than cheap imitations, so naturally they're more expensive. But, I've been pretty impressed with BaubleBar's quality thus far. While all of my purchases have been relatively affordable, none of the pieces were noticeably "cheap" - all have held up very well, barring one small pair of studs.

With affordable prices and new styles that are constantly being released, BaubleBar is an easy choice when I'm looking for trendy jewelry pieces. The high-quality look of these pieces actually lasts, so I don't see the need to pay more.

Here are what my pieces actually look like after months of wear, and some alternatives you can actually buy on the site now:

Resin Hoops

My octagonal resin hoops, which I bought sometime in the fall of 2018.

The resin hoop trend was everywhere in the fall. I wanted to give it a try, but was looking for a simple pair to ease into the craze. I went for this pair from BaubleBar. Basic tortoiseshell has a timeless appeal, while the octagonal shape and gold accent make these stand out from the crowd just a little. At just $36 (with an added discount), these were an easy choice. They've held up really well over the past few months. They dress up a plain black T-shirt and jeans and add a fun vintage look when paired with colorful dresses. While I bought these as a trend piece, I see them lasting in my collection for a while.

The original pair are still available here, but here are a few more great resin hoop options you can find on BaubleBar right now:

Gold hoops

My gold hoops, large and small, which I bought sometime in the spring of 2018.

I wouldn't say gold hoops are a trend that just emerged out of nowhere, but they have certainly become an of-the-moment fashion essential. I had been searching for a simple pair of gold hoops for a while. As someone who generally prefers studs as my everyday pair, I wasn't willing to shell out a lot of money for a real gold pair. I spent ample time scouring sites like Etsy, Nordstrom, and jewelry boutiques searching for the "perfect" pair, but couldn't find any I loved.

When I found this set on BaubleBar about a year ago, I finally bit the bullet and got two pairs of long-awaited gold hoops. I think this set cost just around $50 (again, I had a discount - BaubleBar frequently has specials) and came with both a small and large pair. The small pair is very lightweight, and I find myself wearing them often - to dress up casual looks during the day or even for more formal occasions. The larger pair is a little heavier, so I tend to reserve those for special (or shorter occasions), but they boast the same look.

While I once considered myself a studs girl, I actually wear the smaller of these two pairs at least a few days every week. The hoops effortlessly elevate any outfit, and I frequently get compliments on how nice they look. ThoughBaubleBar no longer has this exact set, they do have plenty of gold hoops. Here are some of my favorites:

Bottom line

While my experience is only one, I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the pieces - they hold up well and in terms of style are comparable to more expensive options. If you're someone who wants to enjoy the ever-changing jewelry trends without spending a lot, BaubleBar is a great place to shop.
