Game Theory, a brand focused on enhancing real sports engagement and accessibility through technology, has secured $2 million (₹16.6 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round. Industry players like Nithin Kamath’s Rainmatter, Rohan Bopanna, WEH Ventures, Prequate Advisory, and prominent angel investors, including Balakrishna Adiga, have invested in the company.

The funds raised will be allocated towards further developing technology, implementing skill-based matchmaking, introducing coaching products, and expanding the network of smart sporting facilities nationwide. Game Theory's integration of technology at the user and facility levels aims to enhance accessibility and engagement in casual sports.

Addressing challenges in sports participation

Game Theory says that this funding signifies a significant moment positioning the brand to work toward its vision of enhancing the sports experience. Their approach addresses common challenges in traditional sports participation, such as finding like-minded players and dealing with logistical issues.
