JPMorgan's top metaverse and crypto executive is leaving the bank after almost 20 years

JPMorgan's top metaverse and crypto exec, Christine Moy, announced her departure from the bank for an unspecified opportunity on Tuesday.

She broke down her accomplishments in a farewell $4 post, many of which included research and publications on topics like cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and digital assets.

Her departure comes after nearly two decades at JPMorgan, and her most recent promotion included the titles global head of crypto and metaverse. She was an early advocate for the bank's adoption and use of cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

"As for my next world building adventure, please stay tuned," she wrote. "I am super excited to share with you what is next!"

At the bottom of her post, she wrote #wgmi, a popular Web3 acronym and meme that means "we're gonna make it."

Crypto firms and other institutional players have offered Moy top positions, sources told $4.
