Emmy-nent! Three Indian shows are making waves on the global stage

Three Indian dramas -- Sacred Games Season 2, The Lust Stories and The Remix -- have received nomination for the International Emmy Awards 2019.

Netflix's Sacred Games Season 2 -- starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Surveen Chawla, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey is nominated in the ‘Best Dramas’ series.



Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap, Sacred Games Season 2 hit the OTT platform on August 15, 2019. It is competing against 1 Contra Todos – Season 3, Bad Banks and McMafia

Another Netflix India show, Lust Stories, received a nomination for Best TV Show/Mini series. Lust Stories is a collection of four short stories by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, showing the different perspectives women have towards their troubled sex life.

Emmy International 2019 has also nominated bollywood star Radhika Apte for ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ for her role in Lust Stories.

Amazon Prime's The Remix is also nominated for the ‘Best Non-Scripted Entertainment Show’.

There are 44 Nominees across 11 categories and 21 countries. Winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on November 25, 2019 at the Hilton New York Hotel, read the official Emmy website.
