The festival mood has set in and one way to spend time during the holidays after the extensive post-pandemic socializing — is to unwind on the couch in front of a TV. If you are still not tired gobbling up sweet meats during festivities and don’t mind a baking show, Nailed It! Season 7 is streaming. Hasan Minhaj- The King’s Jester- October 4

What’s ‘Chai Tea’ and ‘Naan Bread’? Want answers? Click on The King’s Jester by Hasan Minhaj, the 37-year-old Indian American comic. Known for his scathing social commentary, Minhaj will talk about immigration, and touchy topics like infertility and more.


Bling Empire Season 3- October 5

Tired of counting your own pennies? Watch something rich and that too rich Asians. This series will walk you through the elite of the elite clubs of Asian empires. It’s Crazy Rich Asians in HD and live. From watching them try jaw droppingly expensive food to buying jewellery for their pets, this series will make you question the effect of inflation on an economy.

If you have recovered from the trailer of Adipurush based on Ramayan or have watched the story of Astras in Brahmastra, Karthikeya is a Telugu mythological thriller available for streaming. Dubbed in Tamil and Hindi, this ensemble cast movie will discover the secrets of Lord Krishna walking through the lanes of Dwarka and visiting Himachal.


Raksha Bandhan- October 5

Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan will be available for those who willingly or unwillingly missed it at the theaters. It revolves around the lead character who has five sisters and vows not to get married until he has fulfilled his responsibilities as a brother, i.e get his sisters married.


Gaalipaata 2

Gaalipaata 2 is a Kannada drama series about three friends and their love interests managing relationships across time zones. It can be a good watch for those who have left their home country and their lovers behind.

Maja Ma- October 6

Madhuri Dixit’s back and yes she is a dancer again in a new movie. But there is nothing to yawn about the upcoming Netflix special Maja Ma. The Amazon India Original movie revolves around a housewife Pallavi Patel and a rumour that is associated with her journey as a dancer.


Bring it on Ghost!- October 6

In this South Korean supernatural drama, lead character Park Bong-pal, who can see and hear ghosts, ends up attracting a spirit for a roommate. A testimony to the fact that real life romance is dead, watch Park try and woo his ghost crush Kim Hyun-ji on Amazon Prime. The lead stars cast includes Ok Taec-yeon, Kim So-hyun and Kwon Yul.

Shipwreck Hunters Australia- October 5

This TV miniseries documentary is for adrenaline junkies who want to roam around Australia’s coastline but can only do so on a student visa. Shipwreck Hustlers are a group of ocean adventurers who deep dive to untangle the mystery of the Australia Coast, where over 1,600 shipwrecks took place.


Grey’s Anatomy Season 19- October 7

It is the longest running medical drama in the history of television and people who began watching it in fact have a strand of grey in their hair. The show is in its 17th running year and its 19th season is available for streaming. The lead cast as doctors include Ellen Pompeo, James Pickens Jr, Kevin McKidd, Chandra Wilson to name a few.

Eesho- October 5

This Malayalam thriller film starring Jayasurya and Namitha Pramod in lead roles got involved in controversy even before it was released. The name Eesho translates to Jesus in Malayalam and the film suffered a backlash because of it. It is now being released as a thriller based on the story of a mysterious man named Eesho with the film’s tagline saying ‘Not from the Bible’.


The Good Doctor- Season 6- October 4

The Good Doctor revolves around Dr Shaun Murphy played by Freddie Highmore, whose sensitivity and empathy for his patients would not have been approved by Dr Asthana from Munnabhai MBBS. Dr Murphy also suffers from autism and in season 6, his upcoming marriage with Lea (Paige Spara) will reveal a secret twist.

Hello Jack! The Kindness Show- (Season 2) October 7

Host Jack McBrayer is here to show little kids that it's cool to be kind but adults who need a reminder can stream the show on Apple TV+. Bryer, along with kids in a town called Clover, will try to find the person who’s spreading random acts of kindness across the town.


Shantaram- October 7

Shantaram is a story about a bank robber from Australia who flees to Bombay seeking redemption. The dramedy movie is based on an international best seller novel by Gregory David Roberts by the same name. It stars Radhika Apte, Charlie Hunn and Richard Roxburgh and shows the consequences of Indian hospitality taking it way too far.
