Will.I.Am reveals his new smartwatch called PULS


Black Eyed Peas' just unveiled a new smartwatch, called PULS, at Dreamforce 2014,'s annual conference. has worn PULS in public for some time now, but it's the first time he officially launched it. It has a curved screen and the battery is strapped around the back of it. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of memory, as well as a SIM card and Bluetooth.

But what makes PULS different is that it's an untethered, standalone connected device. You can make phone calls, send emails and text messages, or stream music, without having a phone nearby. It also tracks your steps and calories burned, while also giving access to social network sites like Facebook.

"This is not a watch, by any means," said. "Watches don't have SIM cards. This is a new type of communication."

Advertisement said it took his 35-plus engineering team at, his own fashion/tech company backed by, over two and half years to come up with PULS. It was in fact CEO Marc Benioff who gave the inspiration to pursue PULS as a real consumer product, instead of just a side project.

PULS will be available exclusively through AT&T in the US and O2 in the UK. also said PULS comes with a Siri-like voice-recognition feature called Aneeda (All the things you need...) that basically picks up your voice command to place calls or send messages. "All the things you need is what it does for you," said.
