Behold, these breathtaking pictures are not from the snow-covered Himalayas. On the contrary, these are from down south - from a popular tea plantation.

We woke up to a chilly surprise this morning. Take a guess where; it's perhaps our most popular hill station. pic.twitter.com/W1Rn6JeFqG

In Munnar, Kerala, the mercury recently plunged to as low as -4 degree Celsius, covering the entire area in frost.

However, frost on tea leaves is a cause of concern for the tea plantation industry. The fear of wilting tea leaves might hamper the produce.

We can't get enough of this rather unexpected, but dreamy Munnar weather. A clip from this morning. pic.twitter.com/6lb0JGdvlA

Kerala, unlike the nothern parts of India, including Kashmir doesn’t get as cold but Munnar is definitely an exception and these pictures are proof. Munnar experienced frost for the first time in 2018. Temperature, at that time too plunged below zero.
