The overall global COVID-19 caseload stands at 164.6 million and 3.41 million deaths, so far. The US with the highest number of cases remains the worst-affected country followed by India with 25,496,330 cases and Brazil with 15,812,055 cases.


While India is still battling with the second wave of Coronavirus, some countries have already won the war against the novel pandemic and some are on the verge of winning the war.

Israel was the first country to remove the mandatory face mask rule as it declared itself as COVID-free in April. Israel’s 70% of the population has been vaccinated. The country reported no new COVID-19 cases since April 24 as the lockdown measures curbed the infection. Israel had overall registered 8,39,000 COVID-19 cases and 6,392 deaths.

Although the country shares its borders with India and China, Bhutan was never really hit by the pandemic. Bhutan was one of the fastest countries to vaccinate, as it vaccinated 90% of its population in just two weeks. Bhutan is also one of the first countries to be declared mask-free and COVID-free without going under an actual lockdown. The country reported 1,309 COVID-19 cases and just 1 death.

The USA is still combating the COVID-19 pandemic, but has removed the mandatory face mask rule for people who are fully vaccinated. Americans who administered both the vaccine shots no longer need to wear a face mask outdoors while running, walking, and in small gatherings, but it is still necessary in crowded gatherings like sports events. The USA has registered 3.3 crore COVID-19 cases and 5.87 lakh cases so far.
