India’s Supreme Court now has an official multilingual app through which people can stay updated with real time news from the top court. Through the app, users can view judgments, orders, office reports, and circulars.

The app is available in English, Hindi and six other regional languages.

The Supreme Court also released the ‘Supreme Court Vidhik Anuvaad Software’ which will use Artificial Intelligence to translate documents, orders and judgments into regional languages.

“This is the first step towards the introduction of Artificial Intelligence in judicial domain,” said the Supreme Court press release.

The app was developed with the technical consultation of National Informatics Centre. The developments were announced on the occasion of Constitution Day.
