The national capital of India is the worst hit city with 12,32,942 confirmed COVID cases and 17,752 deaths. The city recorded 19,953 cases and 338 cases in the last 24 hours, the highest single day spike so far.
Pune is the second worst hit city in India and the worst hit city in Maharashtra. It accounts for 8,80,545cases and 9,770 fatalities. The recovery rate stands at 7,61,187.
Bengaluru stands fourth with 8,40,274 confirmed cases and 6,845 deaths. Currently, the city has 3,01,712 active cases and 5,31,716 people recovered from the virus infection.
Maharashtra’s second worst hit city has 6,61,175 confirmed cases and 13,434 deaths. The city recorded new 2,554 COVID-19 cases and 62 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra’s third worst hit city recorded 5,24,552 cases and 7,112 fatalities so far. Thane registered 2,604 new COVID-19 cases and 72 new deaths in the last 24 hours.
Another badly hit city of Maharashtra has currently 64,554 active cases. The city overall recorded 4,43,101 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,341 fatalities.
With 3,58,573 confirmed cases and 4,891 fatalities, Chennai is the seventh worst hit city of India. The recovery rate of the city stands at 3,20,457.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the city stands at 3,28,172 with 3,226 fatalities. The fifth worst hit city of Maharashtra has currently 45,605 active cases.
Kamrup metro district of Assam’s tally stood at 2,67,925 cases and 1,430 fatalities. The city currently has 28,060 active cases with the recovery rate of 2,37,088.
