Tommy Tuberville — the Alabama GOP senator who has single-handedly held up hundreds of Defense Department promotions over its abortion policy, impacting US military readiness — has parroted Russian propaganda by insisting Ukraine "can't win" the war against Moscow.
During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday night, Tuberville highlighted how he has voted against US aid packages to Ukraine, but that it doesn't even matter how much funding the eastern European country gets because it has "no chance" of beating Russia in the war.
"I haven't voted for a dime to send Ukraine. Russia should have never done this," Tuberville said, as he explained how he was in Ukraine with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy three months before the more than 500-day war started.

"They were already fighting at that point. But at the end of the day, it's a junior high team playing a college team. They can't win," Tuberville, a retired college football coach, said, referring to Ukraine.
Tuberville continued, "We can throw all the money we want to, but unless we send NATO and our troops over — which we're not going to do if I've got anything to do with it — then there's no chance."
Despite being outmanned and outgunned by Russian forces, Ukrainian troops have managed to put up a fierce fight since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his attack on Ukraine in February 2022.
In June, Ukraine launched its long-awaited counteroffensive to reclaim Russian-occupied territory in the east and south of the country. But Ukraine's attempts have been slow-moving.
