Wall Street is expecting Netflix to beat its guidance on most markers.
A beat on subscriber growth - and forecasts for subscriber growth in Q4 - would be an encouraging sign for investors, since Netflix recently $4. This is especially important given that Netflix may have to continue to raise prices in the future to fund its massive investment in programming - which should be around $7 billion next year, according to Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos.
Here are the key numbers to watch for in Netflix's Q3 earnings:
- Q3 EPS (GAAP): Wall Street expects $0.32, in line with company guidance.
- Q3 revenue: Wall Street expects $2.97 billion.
- Q3 US subscriber growth (net additions): Wall Street expects 774,000, slightly above company guidance of 750,000.
- Q3 international subscriber growth (net additions): Wall Street expects 3.72 million, slightly above company guidance of 3.65 million.
- Q4 revenue forecast: Wall Street expects $3.15 billion.
- Q4 US subscriber growth forecasts (net additions): Wall Street expects 1.63 million.
- Q4 international subscriber growth forecasts (net additions): Wall Street expects 4.66 million.
