After Trump announced his campaign by accusing Mexico of sending "rapists" across the US border, Macy's cut ties in July. The retail chain had carried several Trump-branded items and previously featured him in ad campaigns.

In response, Trump called for a boycott of the company. He has since claimed victory after Macy's stock plummeted and after the company announced significant job cuts.

Trump called for a boycott of the Univision after the Spanish-language network severed ties with Trump's Miss Universe pageant. Like Macy's, Univision objected to Trump's comments about Mexico sending criminals over the border.

After enduring jokes from political commentators and HBO hosts Bill Maher and John Oliver, Trump said everyone should boycott the premium cable network.

In 2012, Scottish whiskey-maker Glenfiddich awarded "Top Scott" to billionaire Michael Forbes instead of tennis player Andy Murray. Trump was outraged and called for a boycott of the company.

In 2015, Trump also called for a boycott of the entire region after the government overruled his attempt to block wind farms just off the coast of his golf course in Aberdeenshire.

In 2014, the real estate mogul said Americans should boycott their Southern neighbor after former US Marine Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested and kept in a Mexican prison for over 200 days after crossing the border with three loaded guns.
