Trump responds to Michelle Obama's convention speech
  • It did not take long for President Donald Trump to hit back at Michelle Obama following her $4.
  • Trump fired off two tweets Tuesday morning, starting by referring to himself in the third person.
  • "Somebody please explain to $4 that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren't for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama," Trump tweeted.

President Donald Trump wasted no time in responding to Michelle Obama's $4, starting his morning with two tweets aimed at the former first lady and her husband, former President Barack Obama.

Trump also made sure to refer to himself in the third person.

"Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren't for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama," Trump tweeted.

"Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement."

The president then ticked through his typical pitch for his administration's success, with no mention of the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than 170,000 Americans.

"My Administration and I built the greatest economy in history, of any country, turned it off, saved millions of lives, and now am building an even greater economy than it was before," he said. "Jobs are flowing, NASDAQ is already at a record high, the rest to follow. Sit back & watch!"
