After Summer Surprise Offer setback, Jio is planning new tariff plans now! Airtel, Idea, Vodafone, are you listening?

Reliance Jio dealt with a blow after India’s telecom regulatory body asked it to withdraw the ‘Summer Surprise Offer’.

Reliance Jio, in a statement, has said it was pained by deliberate attempts of competitors to create confusions.

Now that the telecom operator has withdrawn the offer, it is now preparing to reply back. It is coming up with new offers.

Reliance Jio, on its website, has posted it is coming with new and exciting offers, which is likely to unleash another tariff war with Airtel, Idea and Vodafone.

"We are updating our tariff packs and will be soon introducing more exciting offers," Jio stated on its website.

Jio's free service offers and aggressive pricing is already giving a tough time to incumbent telecom players.

As per Brokerage Kotak Institutional Equities, Jio's actions can potentially drag the industry size down to such low levels in the near term that "raising it to the needed-for-a-reasonable-business-case levels within a reasonable time frame may be impossible".
