ICC World Cup 2019: Sachin Tendulkar to open the innings again today after 5 years but this time as a commentator
India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will be making his on-air expert debut with the World Cup that is beginning on Thursday, 30 May in England and Wales. He is going to be present at the commentary box during the World Cup opener between hosts England and South Africa to be played at The Oval in London.

Tendulkar is going to join Philips Hue Cricket Live pre-show in English and Hindi at 1:30 pm IST with a segment ‘Sachin Opens Again’ at the Star Sports network. He will be joined by a panel of experts — some of whom have played alongside him.

Tendulkar will grace the commentary box during the tournament opener between England and South Africa to be played at The Oval, London.

Tendulkar holds a number of ICC Cricket World Cup records. He scored 2,278 runs in the six editions of the World Cup he played.

He also holds the record for scoring the most runs in a single edition of the World Cup -- 673 in 11 matches in 2003.
