In Pics: Inside Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri’s Bengaluru home
The country’s highest paid footballer lives in Bengaluru with his wife Sonam. “When I am at home, I am calm and it gives me a lot of peace,” Chhetri said.
Instead of splurging money into the house, the couple turned the house into a testament of their love. Every gift from their wedding finds a special place in their home.
Chhetri’s home reflects his passion – football. And it has many quirks and class weaved in too - like a home office that displays his awards, to his sports bike that is parked right in the hallway, and an open-island kitchen.
In the episode, Chhetri says his home is the place where he “can just unwind, bask in the warmth and comfort of his relationship, and simply be himself”.
“It is a complete honour to be the National Football Captain of India. It is a dream and I am leaving the dream. It is an amazing feeling to represent your country and in return I try to give everything I got and it’s an honest feeling,” he said.
