The launch of the next series of graphic cards from Nvidia is set to take place later this year. Kopite7kimi, a well-known leaker, revealed that AD102 GPU is now being tested. According to him, AD102 is the code name for Nvidia’s next flagship graphics card, hinting toward the launch of the “Ada” line. It is equivalent to the top-end RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, but better and more powerful.
Nvidia has yet to confirm any details for this series of GPUs. Assuming that the company has already started testing GPUs, we might soon see some benchmark specifications popping up.
Kopite7kimi has also added that AD102 GPU can feature 24Gbps memory. The RTX 4090 will more focus on memory speeds over 1TB/s. According to Wccftech it will add a 15% of boost in bandwidth when compared to current tech. According to all these rumors, we can hope RTX 4090 can be one beefy GPU with power requirements to match. If the user has to accommodate these specifications the graphic card must have PCIe Gen 5 connectors and will come with a 4 x 8-pin to 1 x 16-pin adapter.
Lot of power?
With all these specifications there is going to be lot of power and this when where thermals get tricky. Nvidia is allegedly working with board partners to introduce quad-slot cooling, AIO and a hybrid cooling system.
