How to create a PlayStation Network account, and add multiple users on your PS4 or PS5

• You can create a new PSN account directly from the console's login screen or from a web browser.
• To create an account, choose Create a User on the PS4 or PS5 login page, or visit the website.
• If you have an existing PSN account, you can add that from the login screen on your console as well.

When you start using your PlayStation console, one way or another you need to use a gaming account, even if it's just a guest account. Most of the time, you won't want to play as a guest.

Signing in with your own PSN account gives you access to your PlayStation Plus subscription, along with movies, music, and online gaming. Here's how to create a new account.

How to create a PlayStation Network account

You can create an account from the web or right from the sign-in screen on your console.

Create account on a web browser:

1. Open Sony's Create a New Account page in a web browser and then click Create New Account.

2. On the Create an Account page, click Create.

3. Follow the instructions to enter your personal details, like birthday, location, email address, and password.

4. After entering all the requested information, click Agree and Create Account.

5. Verify your email address when you receive an email from Sony.

6. Go back to the website and click Continue.

7. Click Update Account.

8. Choose your Online ID.

9. Click Continue.

10. Complete the process by entering any additional information such as your name and address, security question, and billing information.

Create account or add user on a PS4 console:

1. Turn on your PS4. When you see the login screen, use the controller to select New User.

2. Select Create a User. Don't choose Play as a Guest - this is a temporary account that gets deleted when you log out.

3. On the PlayStation Network page, select Next.

4. If you have an existing PSN account and are adding it to this PS4, enter your sign-in credentials. Use the email address and password associated with your account. If you're creating a new account, select New to PlayStation Network? Create an Account. Then select Sign Up Now and follow the instructions to enter your personal information, including your location, email and password, and online ID, as well as privacy settings.

5. On the final page, select Accept to agree to the terms of service.

The account has been added to your PS4. You can now log in automatically when you turn on your PS4.

Create account or add user on a PS5 console:

1. Turn on your PS5. When you see the login screen, use the controller to select New User.

2. Select Get Started and then select Confirm to agree to the PlayStation's license agreement.

3. If you have an existing PSN account and you are adding it to this PS5, enter your sign-in credentials. Use the email address and password associated with your account. If you are creating a new account, select New to PlayStation Network? Create an Account. Then select Sign Up Now and follow the instructions to enter your personal information, including your location, email and password, and online ID, as well as privacy settings.

4. On the final page, select Accept to agree to the terms of service.

Tha account has been added to your PS5. You can now log in automatically when you turn on your PS5.
