  • CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing is expected to soon launch its first smartphone in India.
  • The CMF Phone (1) is expected to be priced starting around ₹12,000.
  • Here’s everything we know about the first smartphone from CMF.
Carl Pei-led Nothing recently introduced the Phone (2a), the company’s most affordable offering. The company’s sub-brand CMF is now gearing up to launch a budget smartphone, that may be priced at half of Phone (2a)’s price.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, CMF is expected to soon launch a budget smartphone, dubbed as CMF Phone (1) in India. CMF has already introduced affordable TWS earbuds, but they come with their own design and do not follow Nothing’s transparent design language.

CMF Phone (1) expected specifications

Some of the design elements and specifications of the CMF Phone (1) have leaked ahead of the launch. The device is expected to come with a plastic body and unlike Nothing’s smartphones, the CMF Phone (1) will not offer a transparent body or a Glyph interface.

The smartphone is expected to be available in three colour options – Orange, Black and White.

The CMF Phone (1) is expected to run on Nothing OS out of the box. However, considering the price tag, it may be watered down version of the OS and may also have some pre-installed applications. The company is expected to provide three years of Android updates and four years of security updates, which is quite good at this price point, if true.

The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display. While the resolution is not known yet, the device may offer an HD+ panel at this price point.

While the exact chipset is not known yet, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek 5G chipset. It is expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

While there is no information about the device’s camera setup, a render has revealed a single camera at the back.

We should know more about the CMF Phone (1) including its price and specifications in the coming days.
