Vivo today announced the launch of the Y12s, its latest budget device in the Y series. The Vivo Y12s is the successor of the Vivo Y12 that was launched in India in 2019 and offers some minor upgrades over its predecessor.

The Vivo Y12s has been priced under ₹10,000 and competes with the Xiaomi Redmi 9 in the budget segment. The Redmi 9 was launched in India last year and offers similar specifications to Vivo Y12s.

The Vivo Y12s features a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD screen and features a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera. The device features minimal bezels on the side and a small chin at the bottom.

Coming to the Redmi 9, it features a similar 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a dot drop notch that houses the selfie camera. Like the Y12s, it features minimal bezels on the sides and a small chin at the bottom.
